Hiking

Easy, enjoyable hikes, moderate panoramic hikes and challenging summit tours make up the hiking network in the Kitzbühel Alps, with many routes starting right on the doorstep.

Swimming & Bathing

The swimming pool in Westendorf with its playground is a particular highlight for younger guests.

There are many beautiful lakes in the immediate vicinity, e.g. the Brixen bathing lake with additional heated pools, the Filzalm lake Hochbrixen, Salvenaland Hopfgarten, Kirchberg bathing lake, Ahorn lake in Söll, the Going bathing lake and many more.

The Schwarzsee lake in Kitzbühel (15 km) offers ideal conditions with its constant water temperature of 24 degrees in summer. What's more, it's also a great place for boating.

Mountain adventure worlds for families

There is much to discover not only in Westendorf, but also throughout the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol. Alpine pastures, meadows, forests, mountain lakes, small mountain streams, themed hiking trails and, of course, the exciting world of adventure on the mountain.

The popular Wohlfühlweg trail and the Alpinolino discovery park start right in front of the house.

Paragliding, tandem/gliding

Westendorf in the Brixental valley is a paradise for paragliders and hang gliders.

Every summer and winter, numerous paragliding enthusiasts come here because of the good thermals needed for gliding.

The colourful paragliders stand out against the sky above the Brixental valley – a real eye-catcher!

Cycling

There is plenty to experience for cyclists and (e-)mountain bikers in our region. Between Westendorf, Brixen, Kirchberg, Kitzbühel or around the Hohe Salve, there are well-signposted cycle paths where you can concentrate fully on the beauty of nature.

At the top of the mountain, huts and alpine pastures await you, where you can recharge your batteries with regional delicacies while enjoying a wonderful mountain panorama.

Golf

Golfers can enjoy nature and the fantastic views on the 9 or 18-hole championship golf course in Westendorf. Our guests receive a 20% discount on the green fee. Golf practice facility with a driving range and chipping area, as well as a lovely golf restaurant.

There are other beautiful courses nearby that can be quickly reached by car!

Ski practice area with access to the SkiWelt

In Westendorf, the two ski practice slopes are located right in the village centre, just a few metres away!

Two conveyor belts can be used free of charge and are accessible to everyone for practice!

The Schneeberg 4-seater chairlift has an automatic child safety lock. Beginners and children can learn to ski on the 525 m long slope with an 85 m elevation gain!

Westendorf ski resort

Families with children particularly appreciate the child-friendly and affordable Westendorf ski resort. Even experienced skiers get their money's worth, as there are some black runs and, above all, very long (valley) descents in addition to fantastic views.
Connections via the Kandlerabfahrt to the SkiWelt at Hohe Salve and via the Ki-West to the Kirchberg-Kitzbühel ski resort.
